A 58-Year Tradition

From "End-of-Season Feast" to "Lobster Fest" to "Clambake"

Portside Restaurant is owned and operated by the third generation of the Carroll family. When the Carroll family originally purchased the Westport Marina in 1982, the Marina traditionally held an end-of-summer feast. The Carrolls built on this legacy by adding events like balloon fights, cardboard boat races, live music, a costume contest, and lobster - giving the new tradition the name "Lobster Fest". At its height, Lobsterfest hosted over 700 attendees from all over Lake Champlain. You could stop in and join the fun or pull up to the dock on your boat and pick up a meal!

With the christening of Portside in 2024, a new end-of-season tradition was born: the annual Clambake. The 2024 Clambake, held on September 1, was a joyful celebration of an excellent first season.

We hope you join us next year!
